Bristol Rovers 4-2 Southend United

Southend United were ripped apart by Ricky Lambert who scored all four goals for his side as the Blues were destroyed by some lethal finishing and appalling defending.

Lambert completed a hat trick after just 33 minutes at the Memorial Stadium - the Blues being completely outplayed.

Lambert scored his fourth before the Blues got two consolation goals - first from Peter Clarke (70) and then substitute Francis Laurent (75).

The Blues take on second placed Leeds United on Tuesday night. The Shrimpers drop to tenth after this result.
